Chris Fleming


Chris Fleming is a skilled media and public affairs strategist that brings more than a 15 years of smart, creative, hard-hitting communications experience to organizations, large corporations, nonprofits, startups, issue advocacy groups, labor unions, civil rights groups and individuals.

Since 2013, Chris has served as the chief political and public relations consultant to the Evers family and the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute. Chris has championed the media, publicity, and public affairs for Myrlie Evers, widow of Medgar Evers including the historic 50th Anniversary celebration of Medgar’s life and legacy. Mrs. Evers was featured on ABC’s The View, Good Morning America, numerous MSNBC shows, the Washington Post, USA Today and many other outlets.

Prior to joining STG, Chris served as the National Media Director/Assistant Director of Media Relations and Field Communications at AFSCME, and the Communications Director for the NAACP.

Christopher started his professional career doing trip advance and research for President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. After graduating with a degree in political science and a secondary concentration in communications, Christopher worked at the boutique PR firm, Ken Sunshine Consultants. He then went on to become the Press Secretary for 1199 SEIU and the Western Regional Press Desk for The American Association for Justice. From 2007-2009, Christopher was the CEO of Prime Time Strategies, a political and public affairs consulting firm that provided political communications, campaign management, issue advocacy strategy and media relations to clients throughout the U.S. Here, Christopher guided one of a kind field, communications and grassroots campaigns for State House candidates in Utah.

Christopher’s passion is media relations and engagement. Throughout his career he has garnered significant media attention for clients resulting in coverage on: NBC Nightly News, NBC’s “Today Show”, CNN, MSNBC, HBO and in the pages of the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, TIME Magazine, WIRED Magazine and other newspapers and media outlets across the country.

Christopher is a proud graduate of the George Washington University and lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife Amanda, son Smyth and daughter Addyson Grace.
